STACEY'S JOURNEY

YAY I did my first talk at the PRIA luncheon and what a success it was, it was AMAZING!! I had some BIG names in my audience and there was not many dry eyes is the crowd, I had so many come up to me afterwards giving me a cuddle etc, it was so nice to get such great feedback.

I also had the ABC 7.30 report crew film me as they are running a story on me and the Lighthouse Foundation, I will keep you posted on when it will be appearing on TV.

The first young mums home is finally opened and has been now for nearly a month (please find attached article which explains what it is all about). I must say I was very proud to be apart of such an organisation. A lot happening here I have finally finished my topics for my seminars and workshops in which I will be working with women who want to make their dreams come to life. My topics will be based on empowering women to become what they dream of and working on the mindset to make it happen such as Discover Your Passion, Commitment, Self Belief, Surrounding Yourself With Positive People, Dealing With Your Fears and Letting Go Of Them, Goal Setting & Actions, Work- Life Balance, Become That Person You Put On a Pedestal, Your True Values etc. All of the stuff that took me from living the life of misery to now living my dream life in which I have created. I know this stuff works because I have had to stumble through life and experience all of these topics to find the answers by trial and error. If you are interested please visit my website www.staceycurrie.com and enter your details in the right hand side, I will keep you posted on my workshop dates.

On the kids home front all good at home, we just got back from our annual Gold Coast holiday, babies are both not very well you know the flu, runny noses yep those fun sleepless nights..
I hope you are going GREAT and also kicking your goals..

So what you have a fear... Great get over it...

  • Do you ever look back at when you were in high school where you
    had this dream of being something?
  • Do you look back with regret for not fulfilling that dream?
  • Do you just stay doing what you are doing because it’s the only thing you will settle for (because that little voice inside your head tells you so)?
  • Do you question why you never achieved the dreams you had
    all of those years ago?

Well one thing I can almost be certain of is what has held you back all of
those years is the FEAR in you.
Ask yourself what fear is holding you back
* Fear of poverty
* Fear of success
* Fear of public speaking
* Fear of Ending a relationship
* Fear of getting out of your comfort zone
* Fear of being judged
* Fear of failure
* Fear of changing jobs
* Fear of being alone
* Etc
There are so many fears holding people back. The most important task
to work on is to identify what your fear is. Below is an exercise that will assist
you with your discovery.

A Little Exercise To Realise Your Fear

Answer these questions very honestly, have a page answer for all questions and get to the nitty gritty..

  • When I imagine my dream, what is the negative voice in my head saying?
  • When I hear that negative voice what are my thoughts after hearing them?
  • Construct a full mental picture of yourself 5 years older than you are today..
  • Feel what it is like to be this older person that is you, what are you doing, who are you being?
  • Now recall how you were within the same area 5 years ago and note your levels of satisfaction and motivation at this point.
  • What have you done in the past 5 years that has worked well to contribute to your current level of satisfaction?
  • How might your life be different if you hadn’t made those positive choices?
  • What else might you have done over the last 5 years that may have increased your level of satisfaction today? How has motivation been
    affected?
  • What is the learning in this for you?

OUR PASSION OUR BUSINESS Let Us Assist YOU!!

There are many factors that influence the growth and success of a business. One of the most important is determination. Without the will to succeed, many business owners find it hard to deal with the many obstacles that litter the road to success. For the team at Signs'n'Banners in Victoria, that 'True Grit' spirit has seen a hobby grown into a vibrant business that's firing with all guns blazing.

Partners Stacey and David are the duo behind Signs'n'Banners. For David, creating signage was really a backyard business/ weekend hobby. Already friends, I approached David with the idea of turning Signs'n'Banners into a fully functioning, successful signage shop. We both agreed. “As this was just a newly established business I was excited about the challenge”. I started being involved in the business in February 2007, by September 2007, Signs'n'Banners was a 'Business Achiever' 2007 finalist in our local paper.”

David's background is in mechanical engineering. However, he later went on to study marketing, real estate and quality control. Before Signs'n'Banners, David's work experience included a diverse range of fields such as quality control, sales of capital equipment and printed goods, and working in the field of real estate.

For myself, the road that led to Signs'n'Banners' has been an incredibly hard but inspiring one. I have lived life without my mum, was abused at age nine, fell pregnant at age fifteen, had a second child at age nineteen, and at one point when my son was three and my daughter was four months old, I was homeless and sleeping on a friends floor. For me, the hard years continued as I suffered a life of domestic violence. “Now you may be thinking this is a sad and sorry story, however these are my lessons I have learnt in life that are now my gifts to give and share with others”. “I discovered my higher purpose in life and that is to help other young mums gain back their self-esteem, discover their passions in life and to take action to achieve them.” I now have four delightful children Josh 13, Tahlia 10, Jack 8 and my little bub Toby 9 weeks. My life is finally where I have visualised it to be for many years.

From the backyard to the factory floor, Signs'n'Banners now produces digitally printed marketing solutions for a variety of business groups including government, advertising agencies, retail and trade customers and exhibition events. The company's range of products includes pull-up banners, x-banners, bowhead flags, teardrop flags, posters, portable fabric walls and a range of other digitally printed products.
